STROLLING along the old railway embankment at the weekend, I was heartened to see a few green shoots sprouting on the part where all the trees have been cynically destroyed by developers.
A puddle of water below was being enjoyed by a yellow wagtail and a
couple of ducks.

Nature proving that there is always hope.

If we people of Shoreham and the council tell the developers we don't
want their hideous, five-storey development there, then our little wildlife haven will eventually recover.

They will be applying for planning permission soon.

The future of the Adur riverside is in our hands.
