'Hall's' well that ends well thanks to Kelly's resolve

AFTER the devastating fire at the Shoreham Centre last year, it is wonderful news that the main hall in the centre will be reopening later this month after being completely refurbished.
This is in no small way due to the magnificent effort put in by Kelly Hagan, the centre's manager.

At the time of the fire, Kelly was told it might be for the best for the whole building to be demolished, but, luckily, she was determined that this
would not happen.

After many sleepless nights, sheer determination and hard work by herself and the team of contractors responsible for the rebuilding work, Kelly will shortly be able to see the reward for her endeavours – and how she deserves it.

With the evening discos and also the soul and Motown evenings (Kelly's favourite), I have been very fortunate to have had some wonderful evenings at the Shoreham Centre – even in the small hall, while the larger hall was being restored.

Young and old, good dancers and not-so-good dancers, Kelly has always been on the door to make everyone feel welcome and wanted, with that lovely, warm infectious smile of hers.

Good on you, Kelly.

You deserve so much credit for your wonderful achievement.
