ADUR District council has released a list of services which are running today (Friday, January 8).
Refuse and recycling collections will take place today where it is safe to access the roads.

People whose recycling was not collected on Wednesday or yesterday should leave their bins out today.

Any rubbish or recycling not picked up today will be collected on the next scheduled collection date.

Anyone concerned about their collections should call 01903 851729

Crematorium

Worthing Crematorium will open today after council staff, Continental Landscape and firefighters worked to clear the route to the chapels and car parks.

Services which could not go ahead on Wednesday and yesterday have been rescheduled for next week and people are advised to contact the appropriate funeral director.

Although the car park is open today space is limited and people are asked to car share where possible.

Leisure

Leisure centres in Adur and Worthing are open and people should check the website for the latest information: www.worthing.gov.uk/worthings-services/leisureandculture or www.impulseleisure.co.uk

Town centres

For the last two days council staff who would normally be collecting refuse and the council's tidy team have been gritting and clearing Adur and Worthing's town centres.

Although grit supplies from West Sussex County Council are now exhausted a council spokeswoman said council workers will continue to do what they can to keep town centres as clear as possible.
