A FORMER Shoreham footballer had to miss a match with new club Worthing after he was robbed at knifepoint.
While Worthing were playing Burgess Hill Town last Tuesday, Jamie Groves, who recently posed naked for Shoreham Football Club's calendar, was helping detectives investigate a terrifying, armed robbery at the London fashion shop where he works.

"It was an experience, let's just say that," said 23-year-old Jamie, who left Shoreham FC in December.

"Just after lunchtime, two chaps came in and pretended to be customers, then they came up to the till and pulled out a knife.

"I had a part-timer on the till next to me. She froze, so I got the money out and just handed it over.

"I was quite shaken up. You don't expect it to happen to you, really."
