THE local elections on Thursday, May 4, saw disappointment for Labour, with the party losing its two seats, in Cokeham ward and Southlands ward.
Labour councillor Peter Berry, 82, lost his seat to Conservative Party candidate Carl English, 23, who was standing for the first time.
The Tories' only loss of the evening was in Mash Barn ward, where Ann Bridges lost out by just five votes to Li
beral Democrat candidate Richard Burt.
