I was saddened to read (Herald, February 9) that some school governors were considering strike action.
Surely the teachers need their support as they press the Government for fairer funding for West Sussex schools.
Parents and especially pupils rely on governors to monitor teaching standards.
At the end of the day, the pupils are the losers if governors strike.
I hope that they are able to reconsider their position and stay actively involved.
