STEYNING’S Remembrance Sunday service was attended by the largest congregation ever seen.
There were a number of standards on parade, including those of the Royal British Legion, RAFA, Air Cadets, Scouts and Cubs.
Steyning Grammar School head boy Ross Cusdin helped to read the names of the fallen and assisted with the exhortation. He and head girl Olivia Cleary also read some of the prayers.
Lewis Whittaker, chairman of Steyning and District Royal British Legion, also attended the school’s sixth form college memorial service on Monday, where he gave a talk about the Royal British Legion.
On Tuesday, there was a short wreath-laying service in Steyning Memorial Garden, where standards were also paraded, to mark Armistice Day.
