VIDEO: Dog of the week – Mattie

The five-year-old is a friendly dog and- full of beans, so will enjoy a home with owners who will provide plenty of exercise and input.

Mattie can be unsure when meeting new dogs and will need to continue training in this area, but loves a good play with known dogs.

Staff at the Shoreham rehoming centre said: “Mattie needs help when it is time to make new friends. He is able to live with children aged 16-plus and would like his own garden so he can have a good run around off lead.

“Quiet walking areas would be preferable at the moment for Mattie, so he can build on his socialising skills with dogs.

“He travels well in the car, so new owners can drive to different walking places.

“Mattie would like new owners to have the time to settle him in before he needs to spend time on his own, as this is something he is not used to.”
