STAFF at Dogs Trust Shoreham say Dave Davey is a special dog, so special they named him twice!
At almost two years old, the male lurcher is friendly and happy to greet people out and about, but prefers affection from only the closest humans.
Dogs Trust said: “He does enjoy playing with other dogs but can be a little too much for some. He loves his toys and will happily play on his own but needs to continue his training to encourage him to share.”
Dave Davey needs an active home with owners who have time to give the attention he needs.
“He can get easily bored and frustrated but does enjoy using his enthusiasm by learning new things,” explained the charity. “His trainer says he is a quick learner and is a joy to work with. Nothing satisfies him more than a good training session followed by a tasty chew.”
Dave Davey was housetrained in his previous home, is good in the car and has good recall in enclosed areas.
A home with older teens is needed but no small furry animals. Call the rehoming centre on 01273 466970 to find out more.
