VILLAGERS have banded together to fight plans they fear will destroy their community.
Rydon Homes wants to build a total of 65 houses on greenfield land in Pound Lane, 35 of them at Little Paddocks and another 30 on land behind Emery Lodge and Cattle Copse.
People living at the northern end of the private road have formed an action group and sent flyers to virtually the whole village.
Upper Beeding Parish Council has called a public meeting tomorrow (September 25) in Beeding and Bramber Village Hall, High Street, Upper Beeding.
Plans will be on display from 4pm and the meeting will start at 7pm, with representatives of Rydon Homes, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Southern Water and local councillors invited.
