Sussex commuters and day-trippers heading to London today and tomorrow face disruption on the Tube.
Transport unions have confirmed a 24-hour strike on the London Underground this (Wednesday) evening and tomorrow.
The 24-hour strike starts at 6.30pm with services not returning to normal until Thursday July 9 at 6.30pm.
The issue is over pay and conditions for a 24-hour weekend Tube service which is hoped to be introduced in September.
There is also a planned 24-hour walkout by members of the drivers’ union Aslef, which begins at 9.30pm this (Wednesday) evening.
The RMT said its members voted by 91% in favour of strikes and 96% for other forms of industrial action.
Transport for London (TfL) are advising: “All other public transport services and roads will be much busier than usual, so please check before you travel.”
