PAST and current staff and members of Wadurs swimming pool gathered to celebrate 20 years since the well-loved community facility opened today (Saturday, October 12).
Adur District Council chairman Mike Mendoza cut the cake in front of a healthy crowd of visitors, who have been involved with the pool over the past two decades.
Manager Andrew Dunstan gave a speech, in which he highlighted how important the pool, now run by Impulse Leisure, had been in the community over the years.
He said: “Wadurs always comes top-of-the-pops in Impulse Leisure polls of all our feedback surveys. It is known as the friendly centre.
“I would like to thank all those people who have visited for their support, as well as the staff.”
