DAFFODILS will be the key feature at Steyning Horticultural Society’s spring show next week.

Competitive classes will also include spring flowers, cookery and children’s entries, all on show at the Steyning Centre on Saturday, March 28, at 2.30pm.

Chairman Charles Ashby said: “Steyning Flower Cub will stage arrangements of spring flowers and will also be making and selling gifts from flowers on the day, with proceeds going to charity. This is part of their club’s 50th birthday celebration.

“Steyning Camera Club will be staging an exhibition of their recent work and there will be a plant sale and refreshments available throughout the afternoon.”

Members will be able to pick up free begonia tubers to grow and enter in the flowering pot plant section in the autumn show.

Sunflower seeds will also be given out, to encourage children to grow them and enter the competition for the largest sunflower head.

All entries for the show to Charles Ashby, telephone 01903 814049, by Wednesday, March 25.
