Worthing’s new Slug and Lettuce is taking shape as signs have gone up on the high street.

The renovation works on the new premises are being carried out on Chapel Road, in Worthing town centre, including varying the interior layout.

Bar Release, which had been operating at the premises until September 11, was bought by Slug and Lettuce parent business Stonegate Pub Company some time ago but had been allowed to continue under the Bar Release name.

The new bar is having a grand VIP opening night on October 14, from 7pm, and live DJ’s will be performing at the venue, including Made in Chelsea star, Alex Mytton.

The application requested a change to opening hours and the new bar will now open from 7am Monday to Sunday.

The Stonegate Pub Company owns several national brands, including Slug and Lettuce, which has more than 80 establishments nationwide.
