SHOREHAM singers The Wellington Wailers have been invited to take part in an international sea shanty event.
The group, based at the Duke of Wellington pub, in Brighton Road, was formed just over a year ago.
They have been invited to the three-day Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival in Cornwall, which starts on June 13.
Bill Brown said it was the biggest international sea shanty gathering on the calendar, with more than 40 groups taking part.
It features 261 hours of shanty singing at 21 venues.
The Wailers perform at the Duke of Wellington every third Thursday of the month and song sheets are provided so people can join in. They also take part in charity events across the county.
