A SCALE model of a 200-home housing estate is being given away free by the developers because they no longer have a use for it.
Crest Nicholson is keen to offload the scale model of Orchard Gate in Shoreham, as it only has two properties left to sell.
The sales aid which measures 5ft by 4ft and stands 4ft off the ground including the base, is free to a good home, provided its new owner can pick it up from the on-site sales office.
Christine Tiernan, sales and marketing director for Crest Nicholson South, said: “Just two houses remain at Orchard Gate in Shoreham so we no longer need our scale model of the development.
“It’s a great keepsake and we want to find the perfect long-term home for it so anyone interested is welcome to get in touch.”
The office will be closing shortly and the model must go by March 30, so anyone interested in taking it should contact the company as soon as possible.
Adur Council chairman Mike Mendoza said: “If no one takes it in the next week or so it will be dumped, which will be a massive shame.
“It cost several thousand pounds to make.”
Despite interest from two parties, no firm offer has been received and the model is still up for grabs.
Anyone interested in taking the model should contact the sales office on 0870 7524384.
Cllr Mendoza and his wife Jennifer were the first people to move into the Orchard Gate estate in the summer of 2011.
