DRIVERS struggled to get home yesterday when two cars collided in Shoreham.

The junction of Hawkins Road and Kingston Broadway was brought to a standstill as a Smart car and a Peugeot crashed around 4:20pm.

Police were called to the scene, and found two women, one believed to be aged 18 and the other aged 74.

They were checked over by paramedics, and there were no physical injuries.

The elderly lady was believed to be in shock and had minor neck pain, though neither required hospital treatment.

The road was blocked until about 6:15pm.
