Police appeal for help after ‘mini rampage’ in Shoreham

WITNESSES are being sought to a ‘mini rampage’ in a Shoreham neighbourhood which left a teenage boy injured, home damaged and car vandalised.

At about 6pm on Monday, May 4, a 17-year-old boy was punched to the head in Nicolson Drive.

Although injured, the boy did not require hospital treatment.

A short while later the front door of a house in nearby The Finches, was damaged when it was repeatedly hit with an object of some kind, a spokesman for Sussex Police said.

Then, a silver Peugeot parked near to the allotments between Eastern Avenue and Nicolson Drive was then damaged when a rear window was smashed.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating, and of two offences of criminal damage, and is currently on bail until June 19 while enquiries continue.

“The boy and the man are known to each other.”
