Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempt to rob a man in Worthing.

Police said the 32-year-old man from Bognor was attacked in Christchurch Road, Worthing, between 12.45am and 1am on Sunday morning by two men who tried to take his watch.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for facial injuries, according to police.

Police said there are believed to be two suspects, one who was described as of mixed race and other one was described as black.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to email 101@sussex.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 84 of 14/08.
