A burst water main is causing heavy congestion in Durrington outside the Southern Water building in Yeoman Road.

Southern Water are on the site at Yeoman Roundabout, where there is lots of mud and water.

A spokesperson for Southern Water said: “We are currently repairing a burst 12” water main on the junction of the A2032 Littlehampton Road and Palatine Road, in Durrington, opposite Southern Water HQ.

“We have isolated the pipe and have re-routed the water to ensure our customers remain in supply.

“We received 11 no water calls in total.

“Our crews are working hard to fix the pipe as quickly as possible and will then need to reinstate the road.

“To do this, we expect to have to close all or part of the A2032.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank people for their patience while we carry out the repairs.”
