The prestigious Sussex Food & Drink Awards were attended by hundreds of foodie fans and producers last week.
The Herald was there to cover the black tie event, which was held at Brighton’s Amex Stadium on Thursday.
A crop of winners came from our region, and were there on the night to pick up their awards.
Guests were treated to a ‘Sussex bubbly reception’, sponsored by Harveys and Carr Taylor, followed by a seven-course banquet created by stadium caterers, Sodexo Prestige, using top local ingredients supplied by local businesses.
For more on the winners and all the details from the night, see this week’s Herald, out today.
The Herald also features a bumper round-up of the latest results from Worthing Magistrates’ Court.
On top of all this, there is all the usual news, sport, entertainment, features and columnists.
Back for one week only is popular columnist Duncan Barkes, who discusses his wide-ranging reasons for being grumpy.
Duncan has a new book out, in which he discusses his dislike for people who do not vote and the ‘increasing persecution of smokers’.
There is also our popular eight-page nostalgia pull-out and business page.
The Herald is out today (Thursday, February 5) and is on sale for the bargain price of 80p.
