The lifeboat crew started a search in an easterly direction as the boat was drifting in strong north easterly winds and the two people on board only had a mobile phone to communicate with.

They were located and taken aboard the lifeboat along with their vessel. Both were ok and were taken back to Brighton Marina.

The lifeboat then returned to station.
