The members of Southwick and Shoreham Country Market will celebrate the group’s 40th birthday this month.
Established by the Women’s Institute back in 1976, the market sells homebaked or homemade goods, handmade crafts, homegrown plants and more – all made and grown by local people for local people.
Frances Burt, market manager, said: “It’s a wonderful achievement that the market is celebrating its ruby anniversary this month and a real testament to the quality of items baked, made and grown which keep customers returning week after week.”
The market is from 9.15am to 11.45am on Fridays in The Porter Room at Southwick Community Centre.
