A BEER festival featuring London brews, a talk and live music will begin this week at the Duke of Wellington in Shoreham.

Starting this evening, avid beer lovers can indulge from a selection of 20 London beers.

The event will be kick-start ed by a talk at 6.30pm by Mike Hill about the burgeoning London beer scene, where microbreweries have taken off in a big way.

This will be followed by a Cockney ‘knees up’ performance with Mark Davies.

Cockney favourites and old-time tunes will be played, with song sheets provided for a sing-a-long round the old johanna (piano).

More live entertainment will be on offer over the weekend, including blues, jazz and western swing, from local bands like Smokestack, Trailer Trash and The Voodoo Trio.

The event runs from February 12 to 15, and all are welcome to go along.

The Duke of Wellington is in Brighton Road, Shoreham
