Workman with back injury helped by firemen

SHOREHAM firefighters were called to assist when a workman hurt his back yesterday.

The injured man was on scaffolding at first-floor level and had to be brought to the ground.

The crew from Shoreham used onsite safety equipment and a JCB to get the man down. He was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

The incident happened on a construction site in Southview Road, Southwick, yesterday at 11.39am and firefighters were called by paradmedics to help them get the man down safely.
