Volunteers’ efforts are ‘tremendous’

VOLUNTEERS have been thanked for their fundraising efforts, ahead of their next big event.

A 4SIGHT coffee morning is held twice a year at Shoreham Methodist Church hall, in Brunswick Road, Shoreham, and last year, more than £530 was raised.

Chief executive Martin Pearson said: “Our local services for people with sight loss rely on funds raised at events like this, and our volunteers do a tremendous job, both supporting people in our 4SIGHT centre in Ham Road, and raising money for our services.”

He urged peopl to go along to the chuch hall for the next coffee morning, on Saturday from 10am to midday.

There will be stalls selling bric-a-brac, books and handmade cards, a tombola, tea and coffee, and homemade cakes and bread. There will also be a raffle, with winners announced at 11.45am.

Anyone who can provide items for the coffee morning, or would like to volunteer at the centre, or at events, can call the Shoreham 4SIGHT team on 01273 454343.
