A WOMAN who could not even touch her toes two years ago will now be appearing in a dazzling hula hoop display in the Big Top in Shoreham.

Lisa Sampson, known in Upper Beeding for her Boogie Hoops classes, is joining Hampshire entertainment group Circus World for her first time in the spotlight.

The 34-year-old mother of three will demonstrate her hula hoop skills for one night only, appearing tomorrow in Circus Wonderland at 7pm at Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham.

Mrs Sampson said: “I am feeling very excited, proud and nervous about the show and can’t quite believe that I am going to be part of the Circus Wonderland show. I think it’s amazing to be given this opportunity.”

Paul Carpenter, aka Mr Popol, the only whiteface clown in the UK, said it was nice to be able to give a local person the chance to appear in the circus, alongside a glittering array of top international artistes.
