VIDEO: Charity receives Queen’s Award

Waiting for Video...

THE only charity in West Sussex to receive the Queen’s Award this year has been presented with its scroll and domed glass crystal.

The Sussex MS Treatment Centre, in Croft Avenue, Southwick, supports a community of more than 700 people from all across the region.

It has been commended for the help, support and comradeship it offers people with multiple sclerosis and other long-term neurological conditions, as well as its friendly atmosphere.

Mrs Susan Pyper, Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, presented centre manager Alan Taylor with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service at a ceremony watched by staff, volunteers and centre users yesterday afternoon.

Are you a volunteer at the Sussex MS Treatment Centre, or do you find support there? Let us know what the centre does for you. Email elaine.hammond@shorehamherald.co.uk
