THE Adur Festival 2014 programme was launched at Ropetackle Arts Centre last week.
Many of those involved gave a taste of what is to come and there was a mix of musical performances.
The Scheme, a band from Shoreham Allstars, will also be playing on the main stage at the Beach Dreams Festival in June.
Maria Dance and Leo Gibbs, who will be running a busking slot at the Shoreham street party on May 24 from 2pm to 6pm, sang one of their own songs.
Brighton a capella group Decibelle sang their version of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.
Friends of Shoreham Fort gave a moving presentation focusing on world war one to promote their Military History Weekend on June 7 and 8.
There were also speeches by Adur East Lions Club, which has its annual donkey derby and classic vehicle rally on June 8; Shoreham WordFest, which has placed poems around town; Dan Belton from Lancing Library, which has a special festival storytime for children; and Kim Adele Fuller from Adur Art Trail, which showed the head of a river beast which will hopefully extend the length of the Adur Ferry Bridge.
