Upper Beeding church opens new café

Daily grind getting you down? Upper Beeding Baptist Church is launching a new café for the village next week.

Minister Peter Butchers said: “There is nothing like this in the village and it’s an opportunity to create a meeting place in Beeding for anyone and everyone.

“It’ll be great to know there’s a good latte just around the corner.

“Plus, there is plenty of space in the Hub Café for wheelchairs and pushchairs.”

The Hub Café opens its doors in Church Lane on Monday, serving freshly-ground Fairtrade coffee and locally-made cakes, with plenty of choice for all.

Open hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to noon.

In addition, once a month, on the second Saturday morning, the Hub Café will be open from 10am to noon, to run alongside the popular Kidzclub, for children aged from five to 11 years old.

Look out for pictures from the launch day in next week’s Herald (January 17 edition).
