A CHARITY that supports vulnerable families would like to say a big thank you to all the agencies and volunteers who came to its recent road shows.
Home-start Worthing and Adur, a charity that supports families with at least one child under the age of five, held a road show on February 6 in Adur and one on February 13 in Worthing.
A spokesman said: “We were particularly delighted to have Adur Council chairman Mike Mendoza and Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman speaking at the events, expressing their gratitude for the work of Home-Start Worthing and Adur in the local community.
“It was a great opportunity for local agencies to network with one another over lunch, hear about the services that Home-Start has to offer and improve multi-agency connections, helping to better the support that we can offer to local families.
“At each event we were able to inform our partners and other agencies about the types of vulnerable families that we support and how we work with them.
“Families and volunteers spoke, sharing personal experiences and highlighting how Home-Start Worthing and Adur has changed their lives and given them hope.”
