Steyning parish councillor Phil Bowell has been made an MBE

Working round the clock to keep Bahrain International Airport open during the 2011 uprising helped earn Steyning parish councillor Phil Bowell a New Year Honour.

Aviation consultant Phil, of King’s Stone Avenue, was made an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours and said he was surprised but delighted.
