Steyning air cadets armed and ready!
Gearing up for the charity car wash at Mayberry Garden Centre
STEYNING air cadets will be armed with buckets and sponges on Saturday to raise money for the Royal Air Forces Association.
Teams from 1140 Steyning Air Cadets are geared up for the charity car wash at Mayberry Garden Centre in Portslade.
Cadet volunteer Chris Harland, who organised the fund-raising event, explained: “RAFA provide help and support for service personnel and their families, concentrating on providing a feeling of community that helps the members of the RAF concentrate on their vital work.
“We work hard to promote our cadets as part of the community, and events like this allow them to meet local people whilst raising money for a good cause.”
The cadets will wash vehicles at the Old Shoreham Road garden centre, in return for a charity donation, from 9.30am to 3.30am.
For more information about the garden centre, or the car wash, visit www.tatesgardencentres.co.uk or contact Mayberry on 01273 422747.
