TWO of the cast of the first St Trinian’s film will be talking about their experiences at a charity event in Shoreham.

Annabelle Heath, who lives in the town, and Polly Baber appeared in The Belles of St Trinian’s alongside Scottish film legend Alastair Sim.

The St Trinian’s Charity Night at West Street Loft on Thursday, June 12, at 6.30pm will be marking the 60th anniversary of the film, first released on November 24, 1954.

Annabelle, who played Maudie, and Polly, who played Celia, were interviewed in January for a re-released version and a digitally-remastered DVD was launched at the end of April.

Some clips of those interviews will be shown on the charity night and Lisa Holloway, who runs The Space arts venue in London Road, Brighton, will be interviewing Annabelle and Polly in person before the original film is shown.

Annabelle said: “I wanted to do my best to give it a good show for the 60th anniversary of the film. I was not only lucky enough to be involved in this cult film, but I was in The Avengers as well.”

Tickets are £5 on the door and St Trinian’s fancy dress is optional, with a bottle of champagne awarded for the best outfit and a copy of the DVD as second prize.

Money raised will go to adurArtcollective, which runs the Adur Art Trail, and Herons Dale School in Shoreham.
