Spotting the space station from Worthing seafront

On the first pass, it will be at 76 degrees, and slightly lower on the second pass.

People are invited to join the society at the Canadian war veterans’ memorial at the bottom of Grand Avenue, Worthing, from 5.45pm.

The society’s Richard Godley said” In between the two passes, attendees will have the opportunity to view some of the highlights of the late winter sky  using telescopes we will have on site.

“There is a small chance that an orbital correction will occur between now and then, but it is not likely to alter the times or circumstances of the passes of the International Space Station by a significant amount.

“If it is cloudy on the 13th, we will try again on Monday, February 15, at the same location, and also commnecing at 5.45pm, with the two passes of the space station occurring slightly earlier than on the 13th, commencing at 5.53pm and 7.30pm respectively. Warm clothing is recommended.”
