Small explosion in Shoreham

An explosion in an electrical junction box led to the junction of Western Road and Brunswick Road, Shoreham, being cordoned off yesterday (Tuesday, January 8).

The small explosion was reported around 3.30pm but an inspection by West Sussex Fire and Rescue using a thermal imaging camera showed now sign of fire.

Two tenders from Shoreham attended between 3.37pm and 4.14pm. The area was cordoned off and the incident handed over to UK Power Network engineers.
