Shoreham child porn offender locked up

A SHOREHAM man has been jailed for 16 months after pleading guilty to 17 offences of distributing indecent images of children.

Simon Partridge, 31, of High Street, Shoreham, was sentenced at Chichester Crown Court on Friday, June 4.

He was also made subject to a five year Sexual Offences Prevention Order and disqualified from working with children for 10 years.

Detective sergeant Jason Turner said: "Partridge's offending showed him to be a sexual manipulator of naive young girls, using them for his own gratification.

"He has shown that not only does he possess these awful images for his own purposes but he is also prepared to send them over the internet to other like minded individuals."

The offences came to light in 2007 when Partridge gave his computer to a technician and indecent images of teenage girls were found.

An investigation by Sussex Police found Partridge distributed images via the internet as well as downloading them.

During the proceedings at Chichester Crown Court he also admitted possessing a further 300 indecent images.
