TWO weeks after huge success at the Brighton Festival, Shoreham Singers-by-Sea choir is repeating the concert for people in Shoreham.

The choir performs Songs From the Greatest Shows on Earth at the Shoreham Centre on Saturday, from 3pm to 5pm.

They will be singing well-known songs from popular musicals, like the The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Les Misérables, Grease and South Pacific, and the audience will be invited to join in with favourite numbers.

The choir will be conducted by Ian White and accompanied by Michael Hinton. Jazz favourite Herbie Flowers will also be playing with his band.

A smaller sub-choir, called Seven Singers, will perform Sumer is i-cumin in, a medieval tune often sung in Shakespeare productions.

The choir and audience are invited to dress up as characters from the shows, with prizes for the most inventive costumes.

Tickets £6 adults, £4 under-16s, with £1 per ticket going to Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
