FOOTBALL fans are invited to a free, live screening of the second England game in an alcohol-free environment.

The family-friendly event will open at Shoreham Baptist Church, in Western Road, Shoreham, at 7.30pm on Thursday, June 19, in time for the 8pm kick-off. It is expected the match will finish by 10pm.

Nick Hough, from the church, said: “As football fever builds towards the opening of the World Cup tournament in Brazil, families are being invited to a free, live big-screen showing of England’s match against Uruguay.

“The venue will be alcohol-free, and there will be free tea and coffee available, as well as a half-time café selling pies, hot dogs and soft drinks cans.”

Entry is free and there is no need to book. Further information can be found on the church website www.shorehambaptist.co.uk or telephone 01273 965407.
