STEYNING Friends of Chestnut Tree House raised more than £800 for the children’s hospice at their pizza and pop event on Sunday, June 22.

Families flocked to Steyning Cricket Club to join in the fun on what was a beautiful midsummer day.

Even Chestnut Tree House Patron Sally Gunnell was there to join in the fundraising efforts, which pulled in a total of £841.65 for the cause.

Children were entertained by the Acting Moon group from Eastbourne, as well as a clown, balloon modeller and mime artist plus Nam Nam’s face-painting.

Mambo Jambo’s pottery painting, a lucky dip and the ‘lolly game’ also kept children and parents amused.

The Pizza Oven company donated all of their £300 proceedings to the fundraising pot.

Musical entertainment was provided by Brett Harrison and The Saviours of Soul band who played a live set during the event.

The Chestnut Tree House Steyning Friends group thanked all the husbands, partners, children and volunteers who helped on the day to make the event such a success.

The group also thanked special guest Sally Gunnell for ‘making the day extra special’.
