Pair to paddle for RNLI

TWO ‘keen watersportsmen’ will take on an unusual charity challenge when they paddle 70 miles stood up on a surf board to raise money for the RNLI.

Stand-up paddle boarders Oliver Spencer and Tim Sortain will paddle from Shoreham to Dymchurch in Kent over three to four days, sleeping on beaches and taking all food, drinking water and sleeping gear they need on their boards with them.

“I have wanted to raise money for the RNLI for a few years,” said Oliver.

“I have a huge amount of respect for the service they provide and for the courage they show.”

More information about the challenge is available at their fundraising web page, www.justgiving.com/Oliver-Spencer
