The Boys' Brigade is stepping into the future with its Growing Bigger, Growing Better campaign

A NEW Boys’ Brigade company is being established in Shoreham, as part of a national recruitment campaign.

The Brighton battalion has been setting up new groups in its area as part of the brigade’s Growing Bigger, Growing Better campaign.

The 2nd Shoreham-by-Sea Boys Brigade Company will meet at Shoreham Methodist Church, in Brunswick Road, on Fridays, from 6.30pm to 8pm, starting on May 2.

The Boys’ Brigade is the largest Christian uniformed youth organisation in the UK and the Shoreham group will be open to children aged eight to 11. Group captain will be Steve Roberts, a committee member of the Stedfast Association, which fosters the spirit of comradeship between past and present members.

The recruitment campaign has been launched in the centenary year of the death of brigade founder Sir William Alexander Smith.

Contact Mr Steve Roberts on 07706 37841, or the Rev Andrew Reed, chaplain, on 01903 750247. Emails can also be sent, to boysbrigade@shoreham.adursectormethodists.org.uk
