Marine supplier appointed to board at Shoreham Port
Shoreham businessman and rugby coach Captain Stuart Nicholls has been appointed non-executive director on the board at Shoreham Port.
Stuart, who lives in Shoreham Beach, has been the owner and managing director of Stratum Five, based at the Riverside Business Centre in Brighton Road, Shoreham, since February, 2009.
His company supplies globally to the maritime industry with fleet tracking services and vessel monitoring systems.
In his spare time, Stuart enjoys coaching the under-13s at Worthing RFC.
“I am delighted to be joining Shoreham Port’s board,” he said. “I have lived in this area for a number of years now and have always had a keen interest in the Port.
“I look forward to embarking on the role and feel I have joined the board at an exciting time, with the developments that are planned to take place over the forthcoming years.”
The Port says farewell, meanwhile, to John Rodway and Commodore James Fanshawe, whose terms of office expired at the end of December.
Chief executive Rodney Lunn said Stuart had a strong background in shipping and marine services and would bring a wealth of experience.
