POLICE have arrested a London man following a hit-an-run that left a Southwick teenager seriously injured.
The 24-year-old man was arrested in London and a vehicle was recovered from the same address by Sussex Police.
The man has been released on bail until February, while enquiries continue.
The hit-and-run collision happened in Hove at 11.09pm on Christmas Day, at the junction of Church Road and Sackville Road.
The Southwick teenager suffered serious head injuries and he has since undergone surgery in an effort to save the sight in his right eye.
He was a passenger in a blue Skoda Octavia taxi. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries.
A silver Vauxhall Insignia involved in the collision left the scene.
Officers are still keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who may have seen the silver Vauxhall being driven in the Hove area afterwards.
