FIREWORKS and music helped celebrated a ‘significant’ charity donation from a Shoreham business centre.

Basepoint Shoreham presented a cheque for £4,795 to Chestnut Tree House, after match-funding proceeds at The Snowman Spectacular Ball in late 2013.

The event was also used as an opportunity to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary, with highlights including fireworks, music from Gospel Singers Incognito and DJ Pat Sharp.

Susan Peters, assistant centre manager for Basepoint Shoreham, said: “It was a truly magical evening and we’re pleased to be able to present such a significant amount of money to our sponsored charity, Chestnut Tree House.

“We hope these funds enable them to continue the amazing help and support they provide to children within the local community.”

Basepoint is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity, and each centre is dedicated to fundraising for a selected charity. The foundation match-funds any money raised by the chosen charity, up to the value of £10,000 per centre.
