A LARGE crowd packed West Street Loft in Shoreham on Friday for the launch of folk duo Hickory Signals’ first EP.

Partners Laura Ward and Adam Ronchetti recorded the EP on the Shoreham houseboat Tom Newbound, with recording outfit, YouGig.

Laura said they had really enjoyed the launch, which saw them play their own tunes as well as covers to the enthusiastic crowd.

Laura is well known across the area for singing with The Risen Road but she said she now wanted to concentrate on Hickory Signals, playing their own interpretations of traditional Irish folk music.

As well as vocals, Laura plays flute and guitar, while Adam plays guitar, percussion and glockenspiel.

Their next scheduled show is Friday, May 16, at Brighton Unitarian Church.
