JPCT 311212 Pat Town, awarded the British Empire Medal for services to Steyning
Magistrate Pat Town is “tickled pink” after receiving the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s New Year Honours.
Pat, 63, has been honoured for her services to the community in Steyning over many years.
“It is lovely because it is a very special one,” she said. “It is away from the list of the pop stars and actors. It is for the local people.
“It is people who have done things where they have lived and do it quietly. It is nominated by friends and colleagues in your community and they put a lot of work in to do it for you. It is a huge amount.”
