Care2Connect staff are said to be 'very good at their jobs'

A HOME-CARE provider in the area has been commended in a recent inspection report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Care2Connect was judged to be fully compliant with all the standards on which it was inspected, including for the care and welfare of people who use its services and its management of medicines.

Managing director of Care2Connect Peter Grimshaw said: “From the outset, we have been determined to set and maintain high standards.

“We select and train our staff carefully and the whole team works hard to make sure we don’t let anyone down.

“The biggest challenge we face in developing our business so that we can support more people who need help in Worthing and surrounding areas, is the availability of staff.

“We are constantly looking for staff who share our determination to deliver reliable, friendly, support.”

Care2Connect provide homecare across the county including Worthing, Lancing, Littlehampton, Shoreham and Steyning.

Regarding Care2Connect’s level of care and welfare for those using its services the report reads: “One person told us ‘the care is absolutely superb and the staff are very, very good at their jobs’.

“One relative told us ‘I was thoroughly dissatisfied with the previous agency but when these carers walk in in the morning I say thank goodness.”

The CQC regulate health and social care services in England.

Inspections include conversations with those using the service, as well as carers and staff. Service records were reviewed as were systems and processes.

Julie Storey, the care services director at Care2Connect, said: “I get to know all our customers and the staff who work with them well.

“We try hard to reward and support those staff who maintain our high standards.

“The CQC report is a great endorsement of the way we work and our overall care practice.”
