HUNDREDS flocked to the Adur Recreation Ground on Sunday to take part in the first Adur Homes fun day.
The event aimed to promote wellbeing within the community with a number of fun activities for all ages, while supporting charities with fundraising stalls.
Housing administration manager Matthew Reeve helped organise the event.
“It was a great success, especially for a first-time event, with an attendance of over 1,500 people,” he said.
“There was a lot of money raised for good causes and people got to try out lots of new fun activities.”
Adur Homes hopes to run the event again next year and make it even bigger and better.
There were free fitness classes, football and rugby training sessions, archery, canoeing, climbing and paddle boarding, and sailing with Shoreham Sailing Club.
Live bands played throughout the afternoon on the main stage, including Shoreham Allstars, and there were craft activities, funfair rides, face painting and various animal attractions.
