SHOREHAM town centre is at risk of flooding again today, with a flood warning issued by the Environment Agency this morning.

High tide at 12.15pm is predicted to reach an ‘astronomical tide level’ of 3.44 mAOD.

Wind strength is expected to reach force eight, meaning the water will be high up the slipways.

Sussex Yacht Club, Surry Hard, the Riverside Business Centre, the A259 Brighton Road, Ferry Road and land at Shoreham Airport are all likely to be affected.

The Environment Agency said tides will remain high over the weekend, but should not be as high as today.

Call Floodline on 0845 988 1188, select option 1 and enter Quickdial number 0123143 to get more information.

Emergency services teams were at the yacht club last night, installing sandbags.
